HEBER CITY, Utah – Architects and designers should plan to get a bit rustic at the next all-day educational event offered here under the auspices of the Building Stone Institute (BSI) .
The Designer Education Series (DES) on General Stone, on Sept. 30, includes an up-close quarry visit near this northern Utah city, courtesy of Mountain Valley Stone and Delta Stone Products.
The all-day event will begin at 10 a.m. with a tour of Mountain Valley’s quarry in nearby Peoa, Utah. Participants will proceed to Delta’s headquarters in Heber City for lunch, followed by three programs:
• “Accent Stone Fabrication” by Aaron Hicken, Delta general manager; • “Installation” by Bryce Harding, Delta national sales manger; and • “Veneers and Pavers” by Randy Boyer, Delta inside sales/yard manager.
The event is worth 4.5 health/safety/welfare (HSW credits), in continuing education credit by the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
