Coverings 2009: The Stone List

The event, from April 21-24, will feature approximately 1,200 exhibitors in McCormick Place’s North and South halls, just like the show’s debut in Chicago two years ago.
Coverings will, as always, feature stone, fabrication machinery and other products allied to the stone trade, as well as the full line of materials and supplies for the tile market. One thing’s for sure, though; there’ll be plenty of different faces this year, as the cast of vendors changes with the current economic times.
Keeping track of who’s at the show can be confusing. However, several online tools can help.
On the Website, there are guides designed for various groups of attendees – including fabricators – with an associated icon. Click on it, and you’ll get the details on areas and events of interest to that particular sector.
Coverings also revamped its “My Agenda” service on the Website with Coverings Connect, enabling attendees to not only search an online exhibitor list, but also request appointments with booth personnel. Online users can also opt for a simple list of vendors they’d like to see.
Also, an interactive map under the Exhibitor List & Floor Plan section can pinpoint locations to make navigation easier.
Coverings, of course, also offers a healthy section of educational opportunities, as well as guest speakers every day of the event. And, everything – the exhibition, the seminars, the speakers – is free.
Online registration for Coverings will be closed by the time this issue hits your mailbox. It’s easy to sign up on-site, however.
