MIA Changes Looks, Awards
CLEVELAND – There’s nothing radical going on, but it’s easy to see several changes with the Marble Institute of America.
The MIA’s logo changed earlier this summer, going from a pattern and logotype to a representation of stacked slabs. The tagline also changed, from “Serving the Dimensional Stone Industry” to “Setting the Standards in the Natural Stone Industry.”
MIA’s annual honors also went through a name change; formerly the Project Awards, the competition for MIA members is now the Pinnacle Awards. Members will vie for recognition in four categories – interior or exterior work in both commercial and residential sectors.
The entry deadline for the 2002 Pinnacle Awards is Sept. 20; winners will be presented at the awards luncheon in Baltimore on Dec. 6.
