Pinnacle Entries Needed Soon
CLEVELAND – It’s time to get your entries in for the Marble Institute of America (MIA) 2003 Pinnacle Awards competition .. but don’t delay.
The deadline for all entries is September 19. The competition is open to all MIA member companies; membership information and entry forms are available at the organization’s Website at www.marble-institute.com.
Awards will be made in three categories: Commercial Interior, Commercial Exterior, and Residential Interior or Exterior. Entries will be judged on beauty, creativity, ingenuity and craftsmanship.
Winners will be announced at the MIA annual meeting in Atlanta in early December, with the winning entries displayed at the MIA booth at StonExpo 2003 in Atlanta on Dec. 4-6. Winning projects will also be featured at other industry trade shows, and on MIA’s Website.
Judges for the competition will be Jacquelyn Suozzi, materials resource coordinator at the Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP architectural firm in New York; Vincent Migliore, a stone consultant, author of “StoneSpeak” in Stone Business, and MIA’s technical director; and Robert Stasswender, owner/president of Southwest Marble & Granite Works Inc. of Austin, Texas, and MIA immediate past president.
