• The Jornal de Angola recently reported that new granite exploration began last year with Rodang, Galiangol, Omphunda, Lisgran and D.F.C. África, all in the Huíla region. Makenda Ambroise, Angola’s vice minister of geology and mines, also noted that the country’s 2004 granite exports totalled 15,000 cubic meters.
